We are excited to announce that the College has begun broadcasting our very own podcast series, the Santa Dialogues. The choice of the name for the series is based on the modern theological use of the term dialogue – ‘the pursuit of truth is a shared journey of discovery’. The series will include robust conversations among experts, staff and students focused on issues that affect the education and healthy development of children. Listeners will be offered resources, tips and ideas for educating and empowering young people by those who educate, work with and understand them.

Our first podcast, the Joy of Reading, features College Principal Paulina Skerman in conversation with Melina Marchetta, author of best selling Young Adult Fiction novel, Looking for Alibrandi, and Santa mother; Head of Library Services at Santa Sabina, Mrs Susan Lombardo; and two of our students who are avid readers, Molly Hoogland in Year 10 and Alicia Bouantoun in Year 5.

In this half hour episode, you’ll hear about the importance of reading, ways that the College is building a reading culture and tips for parents on how to get their children hooked on reading.
