HSC Geography trip wrap up

Our HSC Geography students spent several days in June and July in the field in Far North Queensland studying ecosystems at risk, specifically the Great Barrier Reef.

As well as first-hand investigation of the state of the coral reef, learning from marine biologists, mapping activities, swimming and snorkelling, the students learnt about turtle rehabilitation and worked with an NGO that makes sustainable, plastic-free health packs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in regional Australia and for communities in Papua New Guinea.
