“Now add Honey” film preview

Ex-student Robyn Butler is an Australian writer, actor and producer who is best known for her starring role in the television comedy series The Librarians and for producing and writing Upper Middle Bogan. She invited 12 members of the Santa Sabina community to a special screening of her soon to be released featured film, “Now add Honey.”

Written by Robyn Butler and Directed by Wayne Hope, Now add Honey is a warm, uplifting, laugh-out-loud comedy that celebrates women and girls being who they want to be. Starring Robyn Butler, Portia de Rossi, Hamish Blake, Lucy Fry, Lucy Durack, Philippa Coulthard, Lucinda-Armstrong Hall, Erik Thomson, Angus Sampson and Ben Lawson. The film follows a normal suburban family, which implodes when their pop-star cousin comes to stay. The film tackles issues from sexualisation of young girls and body image to women in the workplace and relationships, but it is in the story telling and appeal of characters through humour where it has such impact.

Robyn Butler was fabulous – on screen and in person. Our Santa Sabina girls were absolutely privileged to share this experience and so proud to build the connection with an ex-student and the film industry. Everyone was so welcoming to the girls and spoke with them personally about the representation of girls and women in film.

The film opens in cinemas around Australia on November 5 2015.
