In an attempt to meet human needs, society determines human rights and responsibilities.
This central idea was captured in our Year 5 expo today that showcased our learning on human rights.
We developed a deep understanding about human rights issues such as equality, women’s rights, racism, homelessness and refugees. We expressed our passion for these issues verbally and creatively. We have been challenged to take action in our lives and be advocates for human rights issues.
No matter how old we are, we can still make a difference.
