National Computer Science School Challenge

Year 9 IST students achieve outstanding results in the National Computer Science School Challenge

The students in the Year 9 IST class participated in the National Computer Science School Challenge, which is run by the School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney. The NCSS Challenge  is unlike any other programming competition in that it teaches students how to program rather than expect previous programming experience. The Challenge ran for 5 weeks whereby students were issued with a set of Python teaching resources and a set of questions testing this material. The participants had a week to submit their solutions online.

During the challenge students were highly engaged and motivated and we are delighted to announce that the students all achieved very commendable results.
