Congratulations to Gabrielle, Year 12, who was awarded an Archbishop of Sydney Award for Student Excellence at a Ceremony held at St Mary’s Cathedral on Tuesday 3 September.
The award recognises the students’ exceptional achievements in a range of areas including school leadership, faith commitment, support for social justice and the environmental issues, academic performance, sport, music and community engagement.
Below is the citation read by Gabrielle’s peer, Sinead:
“Gabrielle’s participation in all aspects of school life reflects her keen intellect and capacity to work collaboratively to enrich the lives of her peers. Her humility and integrity are evident in all that she does. As an elected House Leader and through her outstanding academic achievements across all disciplines, Gabrielle has demonstrated a true commitment to intellectual pursuit and service to the community. She is a valued member of numerous teams including Dance, Gifted Education, Debating, Music and Sport. Gabrielle has a strong regard for her peers and gives generously of her time in support of the Santa Sabina community.”
