We were very excited to receive news that Bridget, Year 5, had won a Creative Young Stars Program Grant from the Australia Government. The Creative Young Stars Program encourages, supports and celebrates creative, cultural, academic and community achievement throughout Australia by students and young people and Bridget is a fitting winner. She is an outstanding student who has demonstrated a high level of skill in all aspects of learning in music. Bridget’s enthusiasm for learning and the thoughtful, creative and analytical manner in which she approaches her musical learning have enabled her to achieve great gains. The grant will enable Bridget to participate in an intensive workshop day with a professional musician and will also support her in receiving private tuition for the trumpet, an instrument she has excelled at as part of the Mini Maestros Program.
