Congratulations to our Senior Debating team, Katie, Olivia, Emilia and Anna who won the semi-final of the Catholic Schools’ Debating Association competition last Friday night at Christian Brothers’ Lewisham. The topic was “That local government has too little power” and we argued the negative side of the case. It was wonderful to have such a full audience, helped by the fact that we debated St Patrick’s College Strathfield!
The Final of the competition will be held this Friday evening 26 July at Cerdon College Merrylands when we debate OLMC Parramatta. Debates begin at approximately 7:30pm. Supporters are most welcome to attend. This will be the team’s sixth consecutive Final in the competition which is a remarkable achievement. It may be your last opportunity to see this exceptional team debate. Best of luck to the team!
