Congratulations to ex-student Dr Cathy Foley (class of 1975), chief of the CSIRO’s Materials Science and Engineering division, who has been awarded NSW Woman of the Year by the Premier.
Dr Foley has a world-class reputation in her field, and is the President of the Federation of Australian Scientific and Technological Societies (FASTS), a member of the Prime Minister’s Science and Engineering Innovation Council (PMSEIC) and Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ASTE).
For the past 28 years, she has been a strong advocate for the role of women in science and the Santa Sabina Community is very proud of her achievements.
