Congratulations to Morgan from the Class of 2011 who received the Ashfield Council Young Sports Person of the Year Award on Australia Day. Morgan was recognised for her outstanding achievements in and contribution to Water polo in 2012. When Morgan’s award was bestowed it was said that ‘Morgan is a highly regarded member of the Water Polo Community who has represented Australia and NSW with Distinction. She received a NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Blues Award for Water Polo and was awarded the Vince Villa Award, the highest sports award within the NSW Catholic School system’. Morgan is the current captain of the NSW U20 team and will again play National League for Drummoyne this year. We wish Morgan every success in water polo this year and hope to see her gain selection in the Australian Open Woman’s squad.
