Students in Year 10 Textiles Technology participated in the 2012 Textiles Art Challenge. Their task was to design and make an art quilt. The inspiration for the quilt was “A Journey”. Congratulations to Lauren and Sofia who were selected for inclusion in the Art Quilt Challenge Exhibition to showcase their work in conjunction with Texstyle – an exhibition of Higher School Certificate Textiles and Design major projects. Their Art Quilts will be on exhibition at a number of locations in 2013, including The Craft and Quilt Fairs at Darling Harbour, Sydney and in Canberra, and at The Stitches and Craft Shows at Rosehill Gardens, Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle.
