Children from The Catherine Sullivan Centre, Mary Bailey House and Kindergarten were treated to their own Babies Proms concert, given by the Santa Sabina Orchestra. There was great delight as children were introduced to the many varied instruments of the orchestra. Some had the chance to try their hand at conducting and all enjoyed the wonder that is the sound of a full orchestra playing ‘Bananas in Pyjamas’ and ‘Twinkle Twinkle’. A highlight of the experience was the interaction that the children in the audience were given with the instruments, as many were introduced to them by the senior students and were then given the opportunity to play! It was a wonderful day of music!
