South African Immersion

Students and staff have returned from the annual Immersion trip to South Africa, with students asserting that the experience will stay with them forever.
The girls visited our ‘sister school’ in Kwa-Zulu Natal and lived with a host family in a township. They taught a lesson at a primary school where the children couldn’t speak English, painted a vibrant mural in a a chronic care unit for disabled children and worked with the women of Kopanang where Dominican Sister Sheila Flynn has established a project for the women to be self-sustaining through their embroideries and craft works.
