Cucina Italiana

Our Primary Years Italian co-curricular activity, Cucina Italiana (Italian Kitchen), commenced last term, with an impressive 101 students expressing interest in joining the weekly lunchtime cooking sessions.

The 15 students selected from Years 3, 4 and 5 have begun learning how to prepare some traditional Italian cuisine from scratch. They are gaining knowledge of some basic cooking methods to create delicious Italian food, using only a few simple ingredients.

We have already made pizza dough and salsa Napoletana and look forward to the challenge of creating pasta and gelato in the coming weeks. The comments the students have provided below indicate they are truly enjoying these experiences!
