Our annual Years 3-12 Swimming Carnival made a vibrant return today at Sydney Olympic Park, bringing together students, staff and families for a day filled with colour, camaraderie and healthy competition. Under bright summer skies, the pool deck came alive with House chants, joyful energy and the unmistakable pride that defines our College community.
From the first race of the morning to the final relay showdown, students from every year group gave their all — demonstrating not only athletic skill, but teamwork, resilience and encouragement for their peers. Whether swimming for points, participating in novelty events, or cheering from the stands, every student played a part in making the day a memorable celebration of school spirit.
One of the standout features of our Swimming Carnival is the way it brings students together across year levels. Senior students led chants, supported younger competitors and helped coordinate events – a true reflection of the culture of leadership and kindness we foster.
Families also joined in the excitement, filling the venue with enthusiastic support and creating an atmosphere that showcased the strong, connected community our school is known for.
Events like the Swimming Carnival are an important part of our broader commitment to offering students a holistic education – one that balances academic growth with wellbeing, physical development and opportunities to shine beyond the classroom. Days like today highlight the confidence, courage and joy our students carry into all aspects of their learning.
Congratulations to all swimmers, House Captains and staff whose efforts made the event a success. And of course – well done to our winning House (which will be revealed soon in Assembly!
We look forward to another year of achievement, community and spirited College events.
