Career Women’s Network – Legal Careers Showcase

Over three engaging sessions, our Legal Careers Showcase gave students in Years 10 to 12 valuable insight into the many pathways into law, from university study to professional practice and the broad opportunities a legal career can offer.

Ex-student Nicola Colagiuri, a social justice lawyer at the Justice and Equity Centre, spoke about her journey into law and the realities of working in the profession, sharing insights into legal advocacy, human rights and the important role law can play in creating greater equity and justice in society. Crediting her love of English Extension for sparking a passion for critical thinking, analysis and persuasive argument, Nicola reflected on how these early interests helped shape her pathway into law and advocacy.

More recent ex-students Sienna Ters and Tiana Pangallo offered students an authentic perspective on life as law students, speaking candidly about university study, workload, mooting, internships and the challenges and rewards of pursuing legal studies.

Ms Eva Guirguis, our Head of Future Pathways & Partnerships, helped students explore the practical pathways into law, unpacking university options, admissions pathways and the many career opportunities a law degree can open beyond traditional legal practice.

We are so grateful to our ex-student community for continuing to give back in ways that inform, inspire and support the next generation of Santa Sabina women as they consider their futures.
