In Gioia House, Girls are Front and Centre

A girls’ only education at Santa Sabina begins in Year 5, when our students step onto the Secondary Campus and into their own dedicated tween precinct, Gioia House, where girls are front and centre. All programs are designed especially for girls, and it is here that they begin to understand that girl power is a serious superpower.

Choosing Gioia House is a deliberate step into a different kind of learning experience for girls in Years 5 and 6. It is a time when students are ready to step up intellectually, socially and emotionally and benefit from learning that moves beyond the traditional primary classroom model.

Welcome from the Head of Primary

Our girls in Years 5 and 6 are nurtured within Gioia House while enjoying specialist classes on the Santa Sabina Campus. The Gioia House program provides a smooth transition to high school by building confidence, developing self-efficacy, forming lasting friendships and fostering strong connections with older students through the Buddies Program. Motivated by St Catherine of Siena, whose bravery and conviction continue to inspire us, our students are encouraged to approach uncertainty with resilience and boldness and step confidently into leadership.

Our innovative learning, supportive relationships and enriching co-curricular opportunities are guided by Gospel values. Gioia House provides a strong foundation for each girl to flourish as a learner and as a young woman of faith and purpose.
