Our Year 12s are buzzing today in the aftermath of great advice received at Santa Sabina’s careers networking evening on 7 May.

The annual event for senior students (and parents) commenced with words of wisdom from three students from the Class of 2012 – still great friends but now following diverse career pathways – in a Q&A presentation.

The students learned about tenacity, personal drive, risk taking, learning from mistakes and how it all paid off for these recent graduates.

The students then took the opportunity to consult more than 25 ex-student mentors in one-on-one conversations about tertiary courses and career paths. Ambassadors from six universities – University of Sydney, University of NSW, University of Technology Sydney, Macquarie University, Australian Catholic University and University of Notre Dame – were also kept busy all evening.

The College is immensely grateful for the time given by our voluntary ex-student mentors and the university ambassadors. Our Year 12s and other senior students are now far less worried about their future careers.
