Accommodation

  • Tallong Campus provides comfortable accommodation for up to 175 guests.
  • Cabins sleep 144 guests in bunk-style rooms of 12-16 with bathroom facilities in each.
  • Six bunkrooms have adjacent single staff rooms with ensuites.
  • An additional eight staff beds in the Girawin building and 13 in Leumeah (five twin share and one triple share room) complement adjacent staff accommodation.
  • These buildings contain lounge, self contained kitchen and bathroom facilities and are suitable also for adult independent groups.
  • Guthewar, creek-side units offer two self contained motel units with two single beds, bathroom, small dining area and kitchen facilities.

Retreat & conference spaces

  • The main conference room has seating for 80 people.
  • Two workshop areas seat 25 people each, and there is an additional meeting space for 50 people.

Catering

Nutritious and enjoyable meals are prepared on-site daily by our professional staff. Meals are served in the dining hall, which seats 150. We cater for all dietary requirements given sufficient notice.

Programs at Tallong Campus promote interaction with the natural world, with the aim of developing understandings of our relationships with the environment and others, while learning about ourselves.

Outdoor Education programs at Tallong Campus are holistic and experiential. They seek to contribute to a sustainable community which cares for the earth.

A ‘plan-do-review’ process encourages students to be reflective so that they can apply their learning to future activities. Collaboration, problem solving, communication and team work are core skills which are developed through the programs. Students develop appreciation for their own and others’ gifts and are encouraged to value diversity.

There are a variety of activities available at Tallong Campus that can be incorporated into the programs to facilitate the achievement of different objectives and outcomes.
