Soccer

Soccer is offered to students in K-12 in Terms 2 and 3. All students are able to participate in a school team under the auspices of the Strathfield Soccer Club. Representative teams are selected to compete at the CGSSSA Championships. These trials are held at school. Students in Yr 5-6 are eligible to trial for the Inner West Representative team. Additionally, students in Yr 6 are able to compete in the JSHAA.

  • Training for school teams in Term 1 is held before school, after school and/or at lunchtimes at the College.
  • Training for teams in the CADFSA Competition is held at Strathfield Park in the evening.
  • School teams are coached and managed by staff or external coaches.

Students selected to participate in the Soccer program should ensure they are able to meet the commitment required before accepting selection.

Traditionally the competitions we enter are:

  • CADFSA (K - 12)
  • CGSSSA (Yr 7-12)
  • JSHAA (Yr 6)

Our Representative school pathways are:

  • NSW Combined Catholic Colleges & NSW All Schools (Yr 7-12)
  • Inner West Catholic Schools’ Sports Council & NSWCPS (Yr 5-6)
