Sport Overview

Santa Sabina College is proud of its long sporting history and achievements. We aim to provide a balanced and diverse program that meets the needs of all students, regardless of their level of skill and fitness.

Participation in a College sporting activity promotes fair play as well as a sense of commitment and responsibility. It is a great opportunity for young people to develop their capacity to work with others as a team member, and it promotes the achievement of personal and team excellence. Involvement in school sport highlights the importance of students developing life- long good health through exercise and fosters the attainment of a balance between study and leisure activities.

Our program includes

  • School Sporting Clubs
  • Saturday & Midweek Competitions
  • Gala Days
  • Representative opportunities, to a National level.

Each year the College takes about 2500 sports registrations for approximately 85 sports competitions/activities across 22 sports. Our extensive participation rate underpins the success of our sporting program and contributes greatly to the many and varied achievements of our students.
