Year 11 & 12

Santa Sabina provides a large and diverse range of course options for students in Years 11 and 12 as they prepare for the Higher School Certificate.

We also seek to accommodate the specific needs of our students through the provision of Pathways and Acceleration Options.
The Pathways option enables students to balance their demanding commitments in extra curricular activities with their study commitments by completing the HSC over a longer period of time.
Acceleration is available for those very capable students who may be progressed more rapidly through a course in which they have demonstrated superior ability. As a consequence some students may sit for a HSC examination whilst still in Year 10 or Year 11. For example, a Santa Sabina Year 10 student completed Music Extension 1 and was placed 3rd in the state in this course for the HSC.

An increasing number of students have also taken advantage of the increasing number of Vocational Education Courses offered at the College or provided externally through TAFE.
