Dominican Awards
These are semester awards presented by the College Principal. The awards are named after significant Dominicans whose personal attributes are reflected in the award’s purpose.
St Thomas Aquinas Award – Academic
This award acknowledges students who:
- Display outstanding performance
- Are high achievers
- Achieve excellence in single or multiple Key Learning Area
Blessed Fra Angelico Award – Creativity
This award acknowledges students who display outstanding performance in one or more of the following areas:
St Martin De Porres Award – Social Justice
This award acknowledges students who:
St Dominic Award – “Life Be In It”
This award acknowledges students who:
- Are enthusiastic
- Participate to the full in school life
- Have a positive attitude
- Apply themselves diligently
St Albert the Great Award – Research
This award acknowledges students who:
- Problem Solve
- Think Logically
- Display a thirst for knowledge
- Are deep thinkers
St Catherine of Siena Award – Resilience
This award acknowledges students who:
- Are flexible
- Cope with maturity
- Deal with life’s complexities
- Bounce back
- Display a positive approach to problem-solving
Blessed Jane of Aza Award – Faith Development
This award acknowledges students who:
- Display prayerfulness
- Demonstrate spirituality through reflection and action
- Appreciate the goodness of God in their lives
- Are interested in and knowledgeable about Catholic faith traditions
