Secondary School

The Secondary School (Santa Sabina) fosters the achievement of personal excellence and offers a rich and diverse learning environment. Within a nurturing community we seek to educate the whole person and to equip our young women with values and skills for life long learning and success.   We are proud to celebrate our many outstanding HSC results. We value equally the enrichment and empowerment that occurs for each individual student who travels the path to their future in Years 8-12.

Students have opportunities to:

  • Experience a dynamic, intellectually challenging and diverse curriculum which caters to their individual learning needs and interests.  Specialist subject areas such as Science, IT, Design and Technology, Drama, Music and Visual Arts are well resourced with ‘state of the art’ facilities.  Staff members are dedicated, highly qualified and experienced.  A wide range of TAFE and Vocational Education subjects are available for our senior students to incorporate into their HSC program
  • Be a part of a caring community where students are well known and valued.  The Pastoral Care system on the Secondary School Campus is structured around vertical Homerooms, where girls in small groups from Years 8-12 meet daily with their Homeroom teacher.
  • Develop independence, leadership skills and be enriched by participation in the extensive range of social justice and co-curricular programs that are available.

The Leadership Program and sequential Outdoor Education Programs provide particular opportunities for students to take initiative and to develop skills of independence, co-operation and problem solving.  Social Justice Education challenges students to respond through action to issues of injustice in our world.  There are vast co-curricular offerings in areas such as Debating and Public Speaking, Sport, IT, Music and the Creative Arts.
