Anna Badaoui of Year 11 has just learned of her selection in the Australian Under 18s women’s ice hockey team. She will spend her summer holiday in January competing in the Women’s World Championships in Poland.
Anna has been skating since preschool and has played ice hockey on and off since she was 8. After knee surgery she decided to make ice hockey her main sport and has focused on it over the last few months.
“I love the speed and the contact in the sport”, Anna said.
“I am very excited to be given the opportunity to represent the country in the Under 18s world championships.”
