Our MANSW winning team from Year 5 has won the Year 5 Class section of the National Mathematics Talent Quest – Investigating with Mathematics. Their winning entry, “Out of this world”, was an extensive mathematical investigation into the solar system.
The girls investigated the history of space exploration and researched some scientific questions about the solar system.
According to the girls: “this unit really provoked our thinking and we were fascinated by the discoveries that scientists, mathematicians and astronomers made about our universe”.
